To begin the new year and to
celebrate working in a place that encourages me to keep learning, I am taking
part in 23 Mobile things . Through this
project I would like to increase my skill level with my personal mobile
devices as well as learn more about how these and other platforms can be used
in a library setting. I currently have an Android phone and a Kindle Fire HD. I
am interested in seeing how many of the “things” I can do either partially or
totally on the Kindle. If I can manage to pry it out of my kid's hands and flip
through all of the ponies, kitties and other critters she has already loaded on
the carousel I will likely use that device at home and the phone when on the
go. At the end of the challenge I expect to have expanded my awareness
of available apps and utilities and just what my devices are capable of.
